What we keep, what we show
Short on purpose. If something here is unclear, write to us and we will fix the wording. Last changed 30 August 2026.
What we collect when you sign in
Your email, your full name, your country and the name you want shown. If you sign in with GitHub we also get your GitHub handle and picture; with Google, your name, email and picture. You can add a picture of your own. If you are on the bench, or you posted something that gets adopted, you can add an M-Pesa number or a bank account so we can pay you. Nothing else is asked for.
What is shown on the site
The name you picked, your country, the date, and what you posted, voted for or reviewed. Your picture, if you gave one. On the bench: the GitHub handle, name, country and contributions of each engineer. On the support page: the name and company of anyone who gave and ticked "show my name". Never amounts.
What stays private
Your full name, your email, your payout details, and the phone number used for a gift. They are used to reach you about what you posted, to pay you what you are owed, and for nothing else. Not sold, not shared, not shown. Card details never touch this site: payments run through KEPAS Pay, a service of KEPAS Technologies, which handles them the way a bank would.
Cookies
Two cookies. One keeps you signed in. The other remembers where you first came from, for example a link in a Facebook post, and is read once if you sign up, so we know whether the places we share enabos reach anyone. Your theme choice is saved in your browser, not on our side. No ads on this site, no analytics scripts and no trackers from anyone else.
Counting visits
We count how many people open each page and where they came from. Each visit is counted with a code made from your connection and a key that changes every day and is deleted after two days, so a visit can never be traced back to you or linked to another day. Your internet address is not stored. Bots and link previews are left out. The counts are kept for 13 months.
Where it lives
On servers run by KEPAS Technologies. We keep backups so a mistake does not lose the board, and we keep the site's own code closed because it holds your details. Every project built off the board is open; none of them contains your data.
Changing or deleting what we hold
Change any of it on your profile. Delete your account from the same page: your details, payout information and reviews are deleted. Nabos you posted stay on the board, because people voted on them, but without your name. Anything you gave stays in the public ledger, also without your name. Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you. Write to [email protected] and we answer within a month, usually much faster.
Children
Anyone can read the board. To sign in and post, please be 18 or older, or ask a parent or guardian to do it with you.
Changes to this page
When this page changes, the date at the top changes. Anything that changes what we keep or show is also announced on the board before it takes effect.
Who to talk to
